Lucky Me.
Guess what I did today???? As if I hadn't learned my lesson with going to Grace's well check up. You know her being part of only 5 % of children that absolutely FLIP out when faced with a doctor. I decided that I should take a trip to the dentist with Grace. I knew it was a bad idea. BUT, the pediatrician told me that after 3 years you should take your child in to get things checked out. Seeing as how we just got dental insurance (SO COOL), I thought I would go ahead and follow through (stupid mommy). I tried to keep it a secret from her. Heck, I didn't even know if she knew what the word "dentist' meant? BUT, on our way to the "dentist" I accidental let the word slip. I guess she knows what it means. She INSTANTLY started to freak out. "I don't want to go to the dentist, PLEASE don't take me." We get there. I get the paper work. We sit down. Grace is CLINGING to my legs. THEN, a little boy comes up. He starts taking to Grace. "YOUR GOING TO HATE IT BACK THERE, YOU HAVE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH FOR FOREVER!!!" Who the hell let that kid in???? Seriously, wait to crap all over our already crappy dental experience. RIGHT then, the dental hygienist comes to get Grace. CORE MELT DOWN. We BOTH sit in the chair (me, my 36 1/2 week pregnant belly, and Grace). Grace is drooling all over herself, and me. Foaming at the mouth...I KID YOU NOT!!!! She starts covering her mouth, foam and all. How the hell does she even know to cover her mouth? How does she know that the dentist is a mouth doctor? I blame television. The hygienist starts to try and clean her teeth. WO WO WO....hold your horses women. I didn't sign up for a teeth clean without laughing gas. I IMMEDIATELY let her know that I will not do this in less sedation is involved. She says that the doctor (who is name Dr. Quackinbush...what a name) will see her, and see if she even needs a cleaning. Grace then continues to wail while we wait. Dr. Quackinbush comes quickly. Probably because Graces hysterical crying and foaming is scarring the other children. The doctor lays her down while I hold her arms. AGAIN with the holding my child down!!!! He tries to look in her mouth....and guess what Grace does. BITES HIM....not once, not twice....but at least 7 times. I asked the hygienist in the midst of this, if this has happened before. She gave me a weird look, and said "not that often". GOOD, I'm glad that we can be special here as well! He then lets her go. I start to cuddle her. Then me and him talk. Mostly he talks, while I try my hardest to understand him while Grace screams in my ear. He said her teeth look great. Good thing...could you imagine if she had cavities? She got a treat, and then got to play in his cool cabin fort thingie. I really liked the doctor. But I seriously think Grace has a phobia of Doctors. Can't wait for her next check up in 6 months.

OH how I wish I was there to see that! At least she didn't start gagging when he put his fingers in her mouth!
Well Navi must be in that 5% because she seriously becomes a different child... she straight up spit in the doctors face!!
