Meet Gus....

So, we got a dog. I know that we missed out on our last one, and we have been MAJOR bummed! So we have been looking all over for another dog. Spencer was adimtt that we needed another newfie/lab mix. They are SUPER hard to come by. So I just kept checking out the pound. There was this one dog that has been there since we first went to the pound Oct 25th. It was so old, and sweet. I asked Spencer what he thought, he said "NO WAY". SO I just brushed him out of my mind. But everytime I went to the pound to look, he was still there. So finally I took him out. I just couldn't help myself. He was the nicest dog. He didn't jump up on grace, he was VERY calm ( he was 8 years old), he was playful, but not hyper. I was very impressed.
So I came home, and told Spencer about him. Spencer still said no. But I kept thinking about this dog. Finally I talked Spencer into him, and I adopted him on thursday. I picked him up today (he had to get his balls chopped off), and he is sleeping in the front room right now. I gave him a bath (you aren't suppost to, but he stank to HIGH HEAVEN), and brushed him (he has TONS of hair), and now he is peacfully sleeping.
I still don't know about him. I think he is great, but I just haven't fallen in LOVE with him. I have 15 days before I have to REALLY decide. I will let you all know. He is really good with Grace, but my heart just isn't fully attached to him yet.
