Dear Posterity:
I lived another year. Did you know that my 2nd love language is GIFTS? So celebrating my birthday brings all kinds of happiness into my life.
So I turned 25. When people would ask "how old are you now". I would tell them 25. They all seemed surprised that I was only 25. There are two possibilities. One. I look old. And they all can't seems to understand why a 25 year old looks so dang old. or Two. I am just so wise beyond my years that they are impressed. Regardless. I am 25, and people are surprised.
I celebrated the day by sleeping in! I told Spencer. When we first got married we would fight about money, sex, family, cleaning...you know the usual. Now all we fight about is sleep. Seriously...besides our kids, and his job...sleep is the next most important thing. Gone are the days of staying up till 3 to look into each others eyes.
After that Spencer and I spend the day together. YES! Footloose and fancy. My friend had Grace over to play. We had to keep the little monkey, on account that she is still a milk snob. We went to lunch, we shopped. He would go WHEREVER I wanted to go. It was so much fun to have a whole day to hold hands, and play. The other day I told Spenc that I felt like we were roommates that were raising kids together. Sometimes we would kiss...like once a week. Maybe if he needed me to scratch his back I would do it. Maybe at 3 am when he is getting home from work, he might snuggle up to me...while I am dead asleep? SOOO, it was really good to remember that we are married, not just roommates.
THEN, my in laws took me to the yummy mangos. It is one of my favorite places to eat. I always enjoy eating out with them. They are so good to me. They got me a fun little video camera thingie. SO that I can always remember my babies small. I am so excited. I have been videoing everything.
My parents were up at Education week. BUT before they left we had a celebration at Oregano's. They got me a BABY FOOD MAKER! Yeah. I can't wait to try it out. BUT, right now Penny is still only interested in milk. She's our milk monster. Grace was ready for food at 4 months. She wanted it, and never looked back. Penny could care less. I tried to give her water the other day. NO BUENO.
Anyways. 25 was a great year. I would say one of the best yet. I can't wait to see what 26 brings.
Love,
25, and still getting pimples....
