Scarlett Fever

Dear Posterity:

Grace has Scarlett Fever. What are we in the 1800's???

Seriously, my Grandma Parker tells a story about Scarlett Fever. She was 6 (or something around there), and got Scarlett Fever. There were no antibiotics. She had to spend 6 weeks in solitary confinement. No one could go into her room. They would put food through a little door. Her sisters would come and visit her through a little window. CAN YOU FREAKING IMAGINE??? Putting little Gracie into a room all alone for 6 weeks?

She is fine. We have antibiotics. She has a red rash everywhere, and a puffy face.

Lets talk about how easy it is to keep my almost 4 year old away from my three month old??? hum...lets just say Grace has been hearing a lot about "germs"....

Love,

A mom that is very grateful for AB, AND is very hopeful that her younger baby doesn't get sick!
