Problem: The zoo is expensive.
Solution: Petco.
Last night we needed to get Finn some things at Petco. I had an idea that Grace would like this store...little did I know that she would GO CRAZY!
She ran straight for the cats, then for the birds, then over to the "bunnies" (anything that crawls and has fur). Then over to the fish, and the turtles. Seriously she was in heaven. We had to drag her out of the store!
This morning she woke up, and started talking about the cats. So we took another trip to Petco. She got to HOLD the kitty this time (pet, kiss, love, hug, squeeze, almost kill, kiss some more, tell it she was sorry, tell it "its ok", and then kiss it some more...I am not kidding).
It was brilliant (if I do say so myself). We will be making many more trips to the local petco (I am SURE they will LOVE that!).
PS: We are going to the actual zoo tomorrow.
PSS: Petco is right next door to Marshall's!

lol that is what we do instead of the zoo as well. Zoos are just too expensive. For us anyway. Plus with the attention span of a two year old a day trip to the zoo doesn't sounds like a real treat.
Hey. tomorrow, as in the last wednesday in September, you get two free admissions to the PHX zoo if you have your frys vip card. For reals. I called and confirmed it with the zoo cause i was skeptical. I guess they have done it the whole month of sept but we just found out. so we are going to the zoo tomorrow!!

Down the street from our home in Provo there was a little pet shop. We used to go there all the time and the kids loved it!! You know, they probably had as much fun there as the zoo anyway. :)

What a good idea! Free & I'm sure she doesn't exactly know the difference right?!? I'm so glad I ran into you 2 at Mackenzie's wedding! We'll have to get together one of these days! Maybe craft & chit chat? Or have dessert & watch a movie or something?!?
My sister said that your can get into the zoo on Wednesday for free with a Fry's card. At least you could last week
But I think your Petco idea is genius. Way cheap and more convenient.
