See how the couch isn't centered with the middle wall section? I thought it should be. I also felt like the big chair need to be on the other side of the table. Also, move the TV stand thingie to be centered with the couch (after I moved it). So I did it!
I like it MUCH better! The pictures don't do it Justice. Mostly b/c I don't take good pictures...but seriously, it looks a lot better.
Some things to mention
1. My french doors are going to be red...they are a work in progress...a really long process!
2. I don't like my fire place...but there is nothing I can do about it. Cute fireplaces take money. That will have to wait for later.
3. The carpets are gross! I have the wood to replace it...but that takes energy...something that is short in supply over here at our house!
Here are the things that I need YOUR help with! There is this open wall space now. I don't know what to do with.
Since we are going on a NO BUDGET redecorating project, here are some of the things I have. Well there is just two things!
There is the white book shelf thingie that is in Graces room. I was thinking b/c that space is so tall that it might be nice. I would probably paint it some sort of green, and then put wallpaper behind the shelf's in the thingie. What do you think? Do you think it would over crowd the room? I also have that small table? It is really old. I just don't know...
Other things that I need help with...
There is that UGLY TV antenna on top of our TV. There is nothing that I can do about that. In till we have money it has to stay so that I can watch the bachelorette on Mondays. But I was thinking I could move that door/something cute thing in my kitchen and put it above the TV? What do you think? I also have this old board. I could make it into 2 shelf's. What about that about the TV?

Not that I count as a decorator person at all, but...
Love the new furniture arrangement! I'm a big fan of the shelves above the tv, offset from each other. You can get rid of the rabbit ears for ten bucks at Walmart. Your gold mirror looks fantastic and your mantle arrangement is super cute. Have you tried using ammonia and a wire brush on the soot stains? It might brighten up the brick a little.
I think you should paint the side table a distressed green and put it next to the TV. And have the matching bookcase somewhere else in the room.
Now you need to come to my house and tell me what to do with my big empty wall.
What you did looks good. I like the change. I think maybe something on the wall on the other side of the TV perhaps? I can't exactly see it but it's right by the fireplace & there is already a lot going on over in that corner...I'm trying to remember what that wall looks like...anyway what your doing to that room looks great. I also love that table & old shelves. Your house is coming together nicely :)
PS umm bachelorette?!? Were you dying last night? I was! I'm SO glad Wes is gone. He's seriously so freakin weird, gross, rude, lame, etc. I like all 3 guys left for different reasons so next week I'm sure I will be forming other opinions.
