Yesterday was Graces first birthday. It was so much fun, it is like have TWO birthdays for me. I seriously think I had more fun than Grace. I tried to make her day fun ALL DAY, but that is hard for a one year old. I would always look at her and say "yeah, it is your birthday", and then Grace would yell, and clap her hands. She thought I was just being funny.
Anyways, her birthday part was a hit. It was super small. I started out acouple of months ago planning a HUGE extravagnza...
So what really happened was really toned down. I tried with the cupcake theme, but then that really didn't happen either. Basically Grace had her super cute birthday outfit, and we had presents, and then cake. Grace "wanted" big girl toys, and big girl winter clothes. She was sufficatly pleased with her supply. She didn't really get into the "unrapping" part. She didn't really understand. She got some AWESOME toys. Erin and Elle, got her "little people" farm house. She LOVES this toy, she was up this morning playing with it, and hasn't stopped except for her nap, and her time with Grammie Parker. My mom (grammie) got her a scooter. She LOVES this too. She has been playing with that along with her farm house. THEN, she got TONS of the cutest clothes EVER from my aunt kim, G-G ma, whitney, and brittany, and grammie. She is dressed for winter. I am so grateful for all of my friends and family that support us so much. We are so blessed to have such awesome friends and family. I don't show apprication very well, but I really really want to. So this is my attemt at trying. I love them, and am so grateful.
We did cake next. I stripped her down, and then she went at it. She LOVED the frosting. She kept just sticking her pointer fingure or thumb in the frosting and licking her fingures. It was so cute. I love watching her expirence this momunment in her life. I had my friend Erin taking pictures, and it was so nice, becasue I just got to enjoy watching her. I enjoyed her whole first birthday.
I can't belive that I have a one year old. Durning her first month of life I couldn't imagin this time coming...but once I got past 6 months I cant' slow her down. Time is just flying. I can't belive how much she has grown up. She is such a big girl now. I love her more and more every day that I am with her. Everyday she suprises me with how smart she is. She is a tiny peanut (as a matter of fact the pediatrician chewed my mom {my mom took her to her year check up, because I had a test} out about how small she is...that a pet peeve of mine, I will write about that later), but I love it. She is so petite, and I just love to cuddle her up to me.
This is what Grace is doing at a year
*walking
*running
*saying "mama", and "do" (dog), and "no"
* pointing her fingure at everything she wants
*loves cheese, lunch meat, mac and cheese, chicken, fruit, some veggies, peanut butter and jelly, bagels
* her favorite foods are BLUEBERRIES(by far her favorite), ice cream, and nursing.
*She is taking 2 naps (each being one hour), and sleeping though the night. This is HUGE!!!
* shakes her head "no no" when she shouldn't be doing something
*hates getting her diaper changed, or getting clothes put on.
*gets into EVERTHING she shouldn't
*loves outside. would probally love it if I would let her play out there all day.
She does TONS more, but I can't think of them all. But she is amazing, and we love her SOOO much. Yeah for Grace...here are some picturs from this last year! Birthday pics coming soon

Happy Birthday Grace! She is so cute, Jamie. And don't worry about the doctor...I always get "in trouble" for Jaxson being so small...um, have you looked at me? I wonder why he is small!
Happy Birthday to Grace, Happy Birthday to you!!! We love you Grace! Too bad we missed all the fun, the boys would have loved it. My honest opnion about her weight is that she is JUST FINE...;-) And you Jamie are SO BEAUTIFUL! that picture of you in the front yard holding Grace shows just how AWESOME you really are. Love you guys, have a great rest of the week. Aunt Heather and boys
How sweet! It's so fun to watch them grow. I totally agree, the first few months seem to last a while and then time flys by like crazy! Ew, would you want to switch pediatricians? Find one you love.
