So did I mention Spencer and I were SOOO excited to pick up our dog today at 2:30? Last night we got a call from the pound, but missed the call. Spencer told me "I bet the owner came and wanted him back!" I thought "I don't care if they want him back, it is the PERFECT dog, and they should have picked him up a week ago if they really cared". I told Spencer when he talked to them today to tell them "we still want the dog, and the original owner can't have him back". Spence told me he would tell them that, and I was still planning on picking him up at 2:30 today. Spenccer called me this morning and said "I let the owner have him back." I guess that the woman that was the ORIGINAL owner came to try and pick him up, but the dog had 400$ in fines, and she couldn't pay. SO she had to wait till she got some money. Spencers heart melted when he heard the story, and gave him back.
I on the other hand and Pissed! That dog was PERFECT. It was everything me and Spencer wanted in a dog..PLUS. It was only 50 bucks, AND it got a whole bunch of free stuff along with it. It was PERFECT! Do you know how hard it has been for me and Spencer to find a dog that BOTH of us wanted? AND we found one, AND Spencer gave it away???? I know I am heartless about this situation, but the thing is that I am selfish, and I want my perfect dog.
So there is the most jacked story ever. I am so pissed at the pound for not telling us that the owner had been in contact with them.
The only up side is that NEXT TIME we go to the pound and find the SECOND best dog in the world we get a FREE micro chip...WHOPPIE!

i'd be pissed too!
That stinks! I'm sorry.
It really stinks. I was so tempted to say "no", but after talking to the lady at the pound, she said these situations are hard because you want both sides to be happy. She said the owner seems to be a great person, who just didn't have the 400 bucks on hand to pay the fines. She told me after she called her to tell her the news we decided to let her have the dog back she broke into tears she was so happy. I really do feel bad because this dog really was perfect for Jami and I, but I just can't take a dog away from a loving family
That stinks! But it sounds like that lady really loved her dog. When you lose a dog, I'm sure you will feel differently.
What? A microchip? What for? Implanted in the dog like a GPS? I'm so confused.
Anyway I'm not too sad for you because I don't have a lot of feelings for dogs. I mean, I'm sad that your sad. I really am. I just don't like dogs too much.
Well at least he didn't decide to trade the lade grace for the dog :P j/k that is really too bad.
I feel so bad for you. He did sound like the perfect dog. Oh well, you have the perfect child, you can't have everything.
