We sure did start off Easter morning with a BANG! Penny fell of our bed while I was brushing my teeth. She ended up throwing up. Called my mom to ask what I should do (really what would I do if I was left to raise my kids alone?). She said to play it safe and take her to the ER. So parents came to get to grace. I packed up her Easter dress, her basket, eggs for hiding, and then headed to the ER with penny. Spencer was just driving home from work, so he met me down there. Penny started throwing up again. She was really fussy and kept falling asleep!
They did a head CT to play it safe. Everything came back fine. After about 4 hours we came back home.
Meanwhile grace started to run a fever. Her throat hurt, and she threw up!
Spencer went home to go to sleep. While I went to my parents to get grace. Well penny went straight asleep in my moms arms, and grace and I fell asleep cuddling. When penny woke up she would move her neck, and was really "rag doll" like. So we decided to take her back in. Grace was still super sick. But I felt like penny was acting really abnormal. So away to the ER we went again. They did an x ray an a next CT. Everything was fine and 6 hours later we came back home. NO ONE slept that night. Next day we all headed to the doctors. Penny was fine, but her neck was still sore. Grace had strep throat. We are all doing much better now.
So thankful for insurance, a hospital, my parents, and our great doctor Dr Mike!

Sick babies is the worst. The ER sucks! Nixon told us he ate some magnets once...ugh. turns out he didn't. So that was good.
YUCK! You poor poor mama! It sounds miserable and mega stressful. I think you totally made the right call each time, even though it was thankfully nothing super serious.
Still lame on the super expensive copays. I hope everyone is feeling better.
