Trapped!

Dear posterity:

Spencer and I make high needs babies. Now when I say that, I don't mean that our babies get gas at night and cry for an hour!
No, I mean the following...

1. Penny refuses bottles. Not even with breast milk! She will only nurse. As a matter of fact she just recently decided that she would eat solid foods. Which is nice because she doesn't nurse every hour!

2. Penny WILL NOT. I repeat, WILL NOT take naps in her bed. She will however take them in my arms. If I lay her down her eyes pop opened, and then she screams! Ugh! I have tried to let her cry it out, but she will cry for 2+ hours! Next week I am going to crack down...as for now, I am sitting on the couch watching desperate housewives with penny asleep!

3. Penny won't play! She wants to be in my arms ALL DAY LONG! No joke! She won't play in her saucer. She won't play on the floor. She won't even play on the floor in a room with me next to her. Nope, she wants to be in the comfort of my arms all day. So she ends up in the sling while I clean, and cook, and get ready...and do pretty much anything! Which is really annoying. Hence me never getting ready, or having a clean house.

So basically I am trapped by my sweet, out of control cute baby! Somedays I develop a twitch, somedays I eat whole pizzas. Somedays I eat 25 Ginger snaps dipped in 1/2 half and half.
Basically I attribute my fat butt to penny's inability to self entertain!

It's a good thing she is so dang cute, an smiles at me a lot!

UGG! You poor thing! Want to borrow my moby? It was way more comfortable than the sling for me. Then you can feel a bit more balanced with the temperamental baby.

Before I had J, I thought parents could train their children out of pretty much everything. Now I know the terrible truth. J didn't take ANY type of bottle (I tried all kinds) until 9 months. I think she just wanted to be in charge and was waiting until she could hold it and manipulate it completely by herself. Annoyingly independent my kid is.

I will pray that Penny learns to nap.

oh and here is the moby link if you want to try it, let me know. If even to break up the monotony.
