Stats

Grace went to her 3 year old well check up yesterday. She was...

50% in the weight
75% in height

According to the Pediatrician, Grace is also part of only 5% of children that become HYSTERICAL at the doctors. That's right we are in the lucky 5!!! I basically spent one hour holding her down while the doctor listened to her heart, looked in her ears, CLEANED out her ears, and looked down her throat. THEN, she got 4 shots, a TB test, AND her finger pricked to see if she was anemic.

Grace has a certain fetish with her ears. She has always love rubbing people ears, as well as her own. Weird, yes. BUT, she is ULTRA sensitive about other people touching...or even looking at her ears. She immediately covers them with her hands. So you can only imagine how cleaning her ears out goes. Yeah, it doesn't happen. SOOOO, we get to the doctors and I inform him (though Grace SCREAMING) that there is probably a lot of wax build up in her ears. So he looks, and says he has to clean them out. GREAT!! I almost start to panic thinking about holding Grace down while HE cleans out her ears. But it turns out her right ear is full of blood? WTF? So now we have to do ear drops 2 times a day for 10 days, then bring her back in. Yeah, you can only imagine how thrilled I was when he mentioned that....

We were both traumatized after the visit. I was frazzled to say the least. BUT, we went to walmart and picked out a toy (not because she was so good. Like she'll tell you), but because I felt so bad for holding her down while they scared the living crap out of her for an hour.

Charlotte absolutes hates doctors. And she has to go to an endocrinologist appt every 3 months. It doesn't matter if I warn her in advance, or surprise her once we get there, but she FREAKS out, refusing to stand on the scale or be measured. She hides under the chair and won't let the doctor touch her. It's annoying.

OMG!!! My little one has the same problem at the doctors. He wont let anyone near him especially his ears. He screams as soon as its time to get on the scale and doesnt stop till we start to leave. I blame it on the lab people who traumatized him by pricking him about 7 times just to take blood. ever since this incident when he was 10 months hes been affraid
