The apple doesn't fall far from the tree....

When I meet people that know my mother they usually say something to the affect...

"You look, and talk just like your mother!"

I really don't think we look much alike. Not that I would mind looking just like my mom. But I just don't see it. BUT I will catch myself talking like her often.

Most people that spend anytime with Grace will say something like...

"She talks JUST like YOU (meaning ME, Jami, the mom)"

I can't help but agree. I am always laughing at the stuff that comes out of her mouth. I mean it is funny, but what makes it the most humorous....I say the SAME STUFF!!!! For instance.

1. If Grace feels like she isn't being treated fairly. i.e. "Grace you need to put your seat belt on", or "Grace you have to get dressed before we leave for church", or even better "Grace, you can't wear mommy's unmentionables to church."
She says "YOU BE NICE TO YOUR DAUGHTER!!!"
This all started when Spencer would ignore her when she was talking. I would usually say "Spencer, you be nice to your daugther"
She used to only say "you be nice to your daughter" to Spencer. But since I laugh so hard when she says it. She started saying it to me. I'm telling you. One of the hardest parts of being a parent is not laughing when your 3 year old says something naughty that is SO FREAKING FUNNY!
2. If I change anything in our house, she says "That's PERFECT!", or "that so cute!"
3. She always complements people on their clothes. I didn't really notice that I do that, that often. But now that I pay attention, I DO it all the time.
4. If she wants to make a point. She'll say "Is that a great idea?"
5. When I was early in my pregnancy, I threw up. Just once. Grace happened to witness it. For WEEKS, she would pretend to throw up in the toilet.
6. The kicker was today. Whitney and I went to the zoo. Grace fell down. Grace is a DRAMA QUEEN when it comes to falling, or blood...or anything. So we get home. Get the band aid. I lay her down on the couch. I start dinner. I hear....
"mommy, I'm going to DIE!!!!"
Are you kidding me. I can't tell you how many times I tell Spencer. "I think I'm going to die!". Hahah. I just can't believe she is cussing yet. I have one dirty mouth. And I really don't filter it around Grace. I am just waiting for the day that she says something in Primary.....
