Gum

The other night Spencer was in our back room watching a movie, and I was in our room laying in bed reading. Well Gracie comes in, and wants up on the bed. She (of course) has her statue Bunnie in her arms. So I get her on the bed, and go back to reading. I can hear her talking to her self and then Bunnie, and she is jumping all over the place.
Well all of the sudden it gets quite, and I hear whispering.....

"gum, gum gum gum!"

I look over and Grace has found the pack of gum on Spencer's bed stand. She is in complete concentration. So she grabs the pack, and sits down on Spencer's sit of the bed, and starts to pull out her piece of gum. All the while I am watching her...she has no clue that ANYONE is watching her b/c of her hard core concentration on the gum, the gum wrapper, and getting the gum in her mouth. She puts the piece in her mouth...just as she starts to chew Spencer walks in. Now I am not a stickler about candy or sugar, or gum. I know I am probably wrong, but it just seems like there are such more important things to worry about that gum, and sugar. BUT Spencer doesn't like Grace to eat to much sugar, and he DOES NOT like her to have gum. So he comes over and grabs her Bunnie (no no daddy), and says "if you want the Bunnie then you have to give me the gum (then he sticks his hand out)."
Grace of course starts to flip out b/c someone took her Bunnie! Spencer says again "give me the gum, and you can have your Bunnie".
Grace then puts her hand over her mouth, and says "MY GUM!"
It goes back and forth between Grace and Spencer. Finally Grace gets this super serious face, and then SWALLOWS her gum. Then puts her hands in the air, and says "whered gum go?"...."trash, trash?"

Perhaps you don't think any of this is funny, but Spencer and I were seriously rolling on the floor laughing. I just couldn't believe how clever Grace was. To think of swallowing the gum, and then pretending that it went in the trash?

She totally out smarted us, and got her Bunnie back WITHOUT having to give her gum to Spencer!

I am writing this down b/c I want to remember classic moments like these!
