Project #1:
This is Spencer NIGHTMARE. He wakes up ready to help his wife with chores around the house. He is doing the dishes, and dreaming about the ASU game that night. All of the sudden he hears this...
" Honey, lets rip up the carpet today, PAINT, and lay down the laminate!"
Spencer gave me a look (non intentional...oh course). I could tell he DID NOT want to do it. But I nagged, and begged, and he caved!
So this is Spencer ripping up the carpet. We were surprised to REMEMBER that we didn't scrap up the linoleum. When we were re-doing our house there was this NASTY linoleum in the back room. We thought about scrapping it off before laying down the carpet...but then got lazy and didn't. When we ripped up the carpet we were reminded of our laziness. So Spencer scrapped it all off! He is the KING!

This is the NASTY carpet that was back there. Seriously SO GROSS! It was white when we bought it. Not that I wanted white carpet...but it was SO cheap, and we were SO out of money. Also, I hated vacuuming that carpet everyday. Now I just have to sweep!

This is Spencer laying down the Laminate! Our WONDERFUL, and TALENTED brother in law Caleb helped us. He is really handy, and we are so happy that they moved from Utah to here so that we can hang out with them/use them!

I'm not going to show the after picture till we get a few things done. But believe me...it is WAY better! I woke up this morning and just sat back there, enjoying some good worldly happiness!
PROJECT #2:
I know that lots of people know about "full house", no not the old show. It is an amazing blog run by a gal named Christina. She is wonderful and amazing. She did a cute replica of shirts from j.crew, banana republic. I recently visited these stores (before she did her post), and was googling over their embellished T's. They were so cute, but SO pricey...and we all know that I stain, rip, ruin shirts faster than most. It would be no good to buy a shirt for 50+ dollars...then have grace spill juice all over it!
This was her shirt...

It would be super cool if I did a super cute photo shoot of myself like she did. But, I haven't showered in days, and I have been busy painting...I don't think you want a picture of me!
But here are my shirts...they are a little rough around the edges, but it was my first time sewing ANYTHING! So I am proud!

I am so happy with my projects! There are more on there way...stay tuned!
