But who isn't short on funds these days...RIGHT???
How do we coup? We don't eat out...well we do a lot of other things too, but eating out is definitely NOT on our "budget list".
This is hard. Being poor isn't easy...but I wouldn't consider it HARD! I actually think I am happier being REALLY poor, as opposed to just being poor. But not getting to eat out is hard core.
We LOVE to eat out. Scratch that...WE LOVE TO EAT, but we REALLY love to eat out! Something about good food, not having to cook, and then not having to clean UP=AMAZING!
I actually like to cook, it is really about the cleaning up part. And since I tend to just NOT CLEAN UP, Spencer really appreciates getting fed, and then not having a dirty kitchen that he will probably clean up after the dishes sit in the sink for 3+ days. So yes, going out to eat = AMAZING!
SO back to the point...we don't eat out. Well sometimes we do, but that is when our parents (whom are both angles, and we love them very much) take us out. Aren't they nice. Do you think less of us b/c we allow our parents to take us out? Hope not....
OK, for reals now...back to the point! SO we don't go out to eat. What do we do when we really want good food. We (Jami) cooks if for us. Tonight happened to be "gourmet pizza" night over here at The Pitts Place! We really wanted friends to enjoy it with us...but it turns out that...
1. We have no Friends.
2. Our Friends aren't poor and can afford to go out to eat.
3. They saw our names on the caller ID and didn't answer!
So we had no friends tonight. Anyways, it didn't stop us from rocking the pizza world!
I will say that our pizza wasn't as good as SOME of the pizza I have tasted. It is all in the crust people. My crust (why lie...it was fresh and easy's whole wheat pizza dough that I bought, and then cooked), was not as good as some of the other pizza places. But it came close. It was really good!
First up...
Pitts PAT Pizza, made with whole wheat crust, home grown tomato's, avocados, fresh mozzarella, fresh Basil, and prosciutto = YUMMY!!!!
Second...
cherry tomato, with 3 cheeses, and fresh basil, and garlic! This one was my favorite...as a matter of fact who is the hungry hippo that took a piece before they took the picture (ok it was me)! It was so good!
Home cook in is fun. Maybe not as fun as going out to eat...but it is happiness. And you don't come by that everyday!
(we would like to thank Val, and my mom that gave us fresh tomato's out of their gardens. Our tomato's aren't ready yet. We would also like to thank Pizzeria Bianco for inspiration, and Martha Stewart for posting his recipes!)

That looks so yummy! I love the pizza Devin makes. Yeah, we LOVE eating out, but don't unless we have gift cards!
We would have come for sure if we were down there! It looks delicious and I am so jealous that you could whip that up like it's nothing! I hope all is well! Hope to see you guys soon!!
Kami
um I didnt get a phone call. We would have been there!
I have a great pizza dough receipe if you want it....
Jami you make me laugh! Eating out IS expensive though. I'm sure once I'm married we won't be doing a whole lot of eating out-thats what super cool parents are for right? haha jk. Don't worry I didn't judge. Those pizza's look AMAZING! YUMMY It's midnight & now I'm hungry for pizza-thanks. Maybe one day when I'm married we can get together & cook some delicious meals & have a pizza party! And I know you have friends. Lots of friends.
PS We need to talk bachelorette! I pretty much agreed with everything you wrote on my blog about that. Maybe we can bask in the incredibly addicting show & watch together soon!
Your pizzas look amazing!
Heehee--great work! We certainly would have come try out this yumminess!
I often try to recreate Chipotle's salads to curb my craving and avoiding eating out just like this!
You are hilarious! Ummm, we are also super poor so I feel ya. I love the 1, 2, 3 about friends. That's how we feel OFTEN! How come our non-existent friends don't love us?!
Those are making me hungry!
All those pictures just made me really hungry! We would love to hang out. Just tell us when
Okay, when you called my phone was off. When I saw it was Spencer's phone I didn't know who to call back. Shame on me! I missed out on some gourmet pizza for sure. We should definitely do dinner dates at eachother's houses more often! I am afraid we aren't going to have any friends either after I have this baby (if she ever comes out, haha). But stop saying you don't have friends! It offends me!!
The pizza is beautiful! You should have called me...
