Obsession # 1:
Animals...but mostly dogs. This girl LOVES living things. She loves all sorts of animals, and will go wild when seeing them. She can spot a cat a mile away...NO JOKE! I won't even see a cat ANYWHERE around, but all of the sudden Grace will start screaming "gidle gidle gidle"(that is her way of saying "kitty kitty kitty"), I don't think anything of it...then about 5 mins later I will see the cat that she was freaking out about. I am telling you...EAGLE EYES! She has loved living things since I can remember. When she was about 4 months old she would freak out over my parents dog. Her body would go tight, and she would flare her arms out...here are some videos of this kinda of experience. Video doesn't do it Justice...it is seriously HILARIOUS! But she does this when she is really excited!

Obsession #2:
KEYS! She is out of control with the dang keys. Spencer gets mad at me (well as mad as sweet Spencer gets) because Grace whines ALL DAY LONG for keys...and I can't stand it. SO I cave, and give her keys...then she loses the keys. BUT in my defence she holds on to those keys for HOURS, and HOURS, and will entertain herself for HOURS AND HOURS with the dang keys. Can you SERIOUSLY blame me? She is particularly crazy about my dads keys...why??? I have no freaking clue. She just loves them. He puts his keys on my parents chest-or-drawers in their bedroom. EVERY TIME we go over to their house, she runs to the chest, and freaks out! Very rarely are the keys there (my dad is the bishop). But when she does get keys, she will try and stick it into WHATEVER she can. Usually it is something harmless, and it is great for me, b/c it is like insta-babysitter. But needless to say we have all of our out lites covered now. By the way...this has been going on for months!
Obsession # 3:
Shoes! Seriously my kid is ALWAYS a mess. There isn't an outfit that she owns that doesn't have stains all over it. She plays in the dirt, she drinks the dogs water, she eats the dog food. She LIVES for the outdoors...how in the heck did she get so happy about shoes? It just doesn't fit...but whatever, she loves them. She wakes up in the morning asking for shoes, and then gets giddy when I start to put them on. She can't walk by a pair in our house without trying to put them on. We won't even go into the "shoe sections" at target or other stores. But I will say that I am sure that the workers there aren't very happy when Grace leaves. This is a resent discovery. But my mom is thrilled!
I don't think there are any other REAL obsessions. She has MANY other interests, but none that are quite as mind consuming as animals, keys, and shoes.
On a side note, Grace got to hold Presley today. For those of you who don't know, my cousin Whitney had her sweet little baby girl about 6 weeks ago. She is just precious. Grace always is interested in her, but today Presley was old enough to have Grace hold her (with help of course). I didn't know how Grace would handle it. But she was a champ. She held her so good, and kept pushing my hands away, and telling me "no". She wanted to hold her by herself. But she would pat her back, and try and shake. And when Presley would start to cry she would "shhh" her. HOW FREAKING CUTE IT THAT? She was really mad when we took Presley away (may I just say what a champ Presley was...she was an angel and let Grace hold her for a long time). So my mom go my little sisters old doll out, and Grace has been loving that baby all night! It is really cute!
We love of Grace girl. She is the light of our lives

Grace is so cute! It's funny when kids get obsessive over things. My niece was the same way. Cute picture of her with the baby doll & I'm sure she was just on cloud nine holding baby Presley. Precious.
Oh & I'm loving her shoe fetish!!! That's funny you avoid shoe aisles at the store haha! She's a good mix of all girl but not afraid to get down & dirty too!
I love watching little kids hold babies! It is so precious! Grace sounds so fun! I love that she is a messy girl but loves shoes! That is awesome!
She is getting so big! I called a cat by saying Cada cada cada up through junior high school and then realized that every one else was saying kitty kitty kitty. I love when they start talking!
You need to find some random keys that no one knows what they go to. :P Cute stuff.
so cute!
She belongs in our family. We all have a shoe fetish. I was telling Zach about Grace holding presley and just kept laughing at how cute it was.
