THEN I wrote another post about the dog I got about a month ago name Gus. I got him at the pound. Spencer HATED this dog, and he had ticks, and cancer. The right things was to keep him, and take care of him till his dying day. I was fully willing, but Spencer hated him. I told him that I wasn't attached to him, and that if he wanted him gone, then he had to take him to the pound again. So he did. That was the end of Gus.
Well Spencer (and as much as I hate to admit it, myself) really wanted a dog in our family. Grace is OBSESSED with dogs (mostly the deerings dog named Bo...it is the only word she says constantly "BO"). She loves them. She gets really excited over them. So we wanted one for Grace to grow up with. BUT I had really picky terms. I wanted a 3 year old big dog, that didn't shed much, that was already house trained, was neutered/spayed, was good with kids, and was a good running dog? yes, I wanted the "perfect" dog. But it seems that dogs like that don't come around very often, and if they do they are really pricey. So Spencer just kept looking for a dog on Craig's list and pet finder. Well the day after thanksgiving (which by the way was AWESOME this year, but I am going to power post and do a post right after this about it) I was looking on Craig's list. I hardly ever do this, b/c Spencer is king Kong at looking for dogs on Craig's list, he checks like 10 times everyday. Well I checked, and what do you know. I find a puppy that I really thought was cute, and was REALLY REALLY cheap. SO I showed Spencer. This puppy happened to a ANOTHER Newfoundland...Spencer was sold right away. We went and looked at him, and we fell in love. He isn't the perfect dog I was looking for, but he is even better. I love him so much. It seems as thought I am always the one falling in love with the dogs. Grace loves him, and he is a great little puppy. So cuddly, and cute. We are working on the "going outside" thing, and he seems to be doing good. We went on a walk this morning and he stayed right by my side. By the way his name is FINN! I love the name Finn, I think it is sexy, and if I could rename Spencer that name I would...but he won't let me. So now I have a sexy dog named Finn.
Sorry if you think I am a dog hater b/c I had gotten rid of two dogs, but I really am not. and like I said "if you are a animal activist then you shouldn't have read this in the first place"!
you think is really cute too! he really is the cutest puppy I have ever seen...wait I take that back. Whitney got a toy chocolate poodle for Christmas one year, and it was the cutest thing in the world. It looked like a mini buffalo, if that makes any sense at all. But Finn is a close 2nd place. And his little personality just melts your heart. Come by and see him if you want to be really jealous of our cute puppy!
